Matt is interested in genetic basis of reproductive isolation between closely related species. Specifically, he plans to investigate the roles of selection and adaptive evolution in the creation and maintenance of reproductive incompatibilities in marine invertebrates.
Laura Goetz
Laura is interested in fish embryonic development and how genetic and environmental factors influence it. As a first year graduate student working with Dr. Devon Pearse and Dr. Grant Pogson, they are currently focusing on how parental life history type of steelhead influence offspring life histories.
